The colour shows no signs of fading, nor does the bouquet, and even less the palate. Wafts of oriental spice, and the particular earth/bramble that comes from whole bunch fermentation – when the grapes are fully ripe and disease free. The mouthfeel swells and exults as the wine makes its way along the palate and onto the all-important and utterly satisfying finish and aftertaste. There is a savoury nuance persisting throughout, the fruit flavours ripe but essentially dark. It will move gracefully into the tertiary landscape, but will never be better than it is today.

PS – The tannins have been there from start to finish, yet never sought to interrupt the flow. Indeed, over a period of an hour, the fruit richness just grew and grew.
