21 years old, or 20-something young. Still under cork (of good quality), zero ullage, having been in my cellar from birth and now accepting that it was a reasonable decision to meet its maker. The colour is still deep, the bouquet still saying there’s more to come with another 5-10 years – but that may be more than I have. The fruit base is plum, with generous spice and tannins, part fruit-, part oak-derived. I’m pretty happy with this.
